Macro: FRED series in groups, and the economic calendar

The macro backdrop from FRED, the St. Louis Fed's public database, in six groups, with the home market's own cards beside them and an economic calendar for the prints ahead. Sparklines show two years; the delta is about one month.

Macro: the economic calendar panel, then the Rates, Inflation and Growth and labor groups, each card with its level, its one-month delta, a two-year sparkline, the FRED series id and the date of the last print.

What it shows

The cards. Twenty-two US series shipped, in six groups: Rates (the two, ten and thirty year Treasuries, the 2s10s curve, Fed funds, the thirty year mortgage), Inflation (CPI year on year, the ten year breakeven, five-year-five-year forward inflation, the ten year real yield), Growth and labor (unemployment, initial claims, consumer sentiment), Credit and volatility (VIX, high yield and investment grade spreads), Commodities and dollar (WTI, Brent, Henry Hub gas, the dollar index) and Equities (the S&P 500, the Nasdaq Composite). Each card carries the level, the change over about a month, a two-year sparkline, the FRED id and the date of the last print. Click a card for the full history.

The home market's cards. A market file can add its own: India adds the ten-year yield, the repo rate and CPI. Markets.

The economic calendar. The next sixty days of prints for your home market and the United States in full, and the ones that move markets in the euro area, Britain, Japan and China: rate decisions, inflation, jobs, growth, PMIs, in your own time zone. The free feed's own calendar answers when it is not refusing the address; when it is, the weeks ahead come from the record itself: the Bureau of Labor Statistics' release schedule and the Fed's meeting calendar for the US, and Forex Factory's public weekly file for this week across the majors.

Where each number comes from
