Commodities: fifty-four cards and who each move squeezes
Fifty-four cards, grouped the way an income statement meets them: forty-nine commodities, then five currency pairs at the end because every price above is a dollar price. Movers across four windows, the names within five percent of a five-year high, and who is squeezed or helped this month.

What it shows
Movers. The biggest moves today, this week, this month and over a year.
Within five percent of a five-year high. Each card that is near its own peak, with the distance, the level and the date of the peak, so nobody has to remember an old high by eye.
The board. Seven groups: Energy, Base metals, Precious, Ags and softs, Industrial inputs, Freight, Currency. Each card has its level, the change over five windows, and the distance from the five-year high. Click a card for the full history and the industries a rise squeezes (it is a cost to them) and helps (it is their revenue).
Names under commodity pressure, this month. Every commodity a listed name sits on, added up: the names squeezed most and the names helped most, with the commodities behind each score and their move. It ships with US names mapped from their own filings; a market file adds the names of another country.

| The industries each commodity squeezes and helps | The desk's own map, shipped with the desk and yours to edit |

The home market's own lines
With India as the home market, six cards carry an Indian line under the global price with no key: the benchmark mandi for wheat, soybean, maize, kapas and gur (Indore, Indore, Davangere, Raichur, Muzaffarnagar), each the market's latest modal price in rupees per quintal with the day's move, and Kottayam RSS4 from the Rubber Board under Natural rubber. India has the detail. A market file adds its own lines and its listed names through the written contract.
