I have been researching stocks since 2017, when I was still a mechanical engineering student, and I always wanted to be a SuperAnalyst. That took me to an MBA and then to ICICI Securities, first as a research analyst and later as an investment advisor to high-net-worth clients, with about $60 million of their money in equities.

Along the way I got obsessed with systems, mental models and frameworks. I built a system for my own research in Notion, and I kept rebuilding it and changing it as I changed as an investor, until it was not enough anymore and it needed to become software. I hired a software engineer to build it with me, but that did not work out, so I, a mechanical engineer who had never written software, learned to build it myself. It took time, but with AI beside me I turned that framework into a product, I used it every day, and eventually I released the software version of that system as free and open source. That is greeksoup.

Only two things have really driven me in my life, investing and building, and every mental model and framework I learn goes into greeksoup as I learn it. Somewhere along the way I realised I am a better product builder than I am an investor, so maybe the most useful thing I can do is help someone else become the SuperAnalyst I always wanted to be. This is my passion project, and with God's grace I will keep building it until the day I die or go bankrupt, whichever comes first.
