tastytrade
United States. A client secret and a refresh token from an OAuth grant on tastytrade's site, free for its clients. Neither expires, so there is nothing to paste each day.
Where the keys come from
On tastytrade's site, under OAuth Applications, create an application. Then open Manage and Create Grant. That hands you a client secret and a refresh token, and neither expires.
The sandbox, tastytrade's practice system, has keys of its own, so switch Sandbox account on for those.
If your login has more than one account, put the account number you want in the box; leave it empty and the desk reads the first account on the login.
On Settings
Pick tastytrade · United States, paste the client secret and the refresh token, set Sandbox if it applies, and click Save and connect. Wrong keys come back as "tastytrade did not accept these keys" with the reason. "tastytrade refused that read" can mean the grant was revoked on their site.
What Desk · Home shows
Every position with quantity and cost, and cash from the balances read. tastytrade reports the cost and the closing mark, and the desk works each line's price out from those; where tastytrade reports none, the desk marks the line from Yahoo. Option legs are left out: this desk's book is shares.
Live prices
The desk asks tastytrade for live prices on Watch · Home, Watch · US and the ticker page, and Watch · US takes them ahead of the free feed. tastytrade serves quotes to funded accounts only, and the sandbox is delayed. If tastytrade refuses prices on the account, the desk uses the free feed (Yahoo) for the rest of the session.
What it does not show
No futures, no margin bar, no options tape through this read. The options tape on US names is on the Flow screen for every reader. Nothing places an order.
