One Gas, Inc., the 10-K for 2025

ONE Gas is a 100-percent regulated natural gas distribution utility headquartered in Tulsa, Oklahoma, serving approximately 2.3 million customers, mainly residential, commercial and transportation customers, in Oklahoma, Kansas and Texas. It is incorporated in Oklahoma, and its common stock is listed on the NYSE and the NYSE Texas.

History

It is the successor to the company founded in 1906 as Oklahoma Natural Gas Company, which became ONEOK in 1980, and it separated from ONEOK on January 31, 2014.

Divisions

It operates through three divisions, Oklahoma Natural Gas, Kansas Gas Service and Texas Gas Service, which serve approximately 89 percent, 72 percent and 13 percent of the natural gas distribution customers in Oklahoma, Kansas and Texas. The filing states that, by number of customers, it is the largest natural gas distributor in Oklahoma and Kansas and the third largest in Texas. Its largest markets by customers are Oklahoma City and Tulsa, Oklahoma, Kansas City, Wichita and Topeka, Kansas, and Austin and El Paso, Texas. Its rates are set by state and local regulators: the regulators the filing calls the OCC for Oklahoma Natural Gas and the KCC for Kansas Gas Service, and in Texas the incorporated cities it serves and, for unincorporated areas, the RRC. In February 2026 Texas Gas Service's customers were combined into a single statewide service area.

Supply

It bought 165 Bcf of natural gas supply in 2025 from natural gas processors, marketers and producers, under contracts awarded through competitive bidding. At December 31, 2025 it had 60.8 Bcf of natural gas storage capacity under contract, which lets it buy gas in the off-peak season for use in winter. All of its service areas use weather normalization mechanisms that adjust the delivery charge on customers' bills when weather is colder or warmer than normal.

People

On February 1, 2026 it employed approximately 4,000 people, including approximately 700 at Kansas Gas Service covered by collective bargaining agreements with the United Steelworkers and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.

Gross profit is revenue less cost of revenue, and operating income is revenue less the company's own total costs, where the statement does not print those lines.
