Lattice Semiconductor designs low power field programmable gate arrays (FPGAs), chips made of arrays of logic that customers configure through software, and sells them with design software, IP licenses and services. Its corporate headquarters are in Hillsboro, Oregon, and its stock trades on the NASDAQ Global Select Market.

Products

Its FPGA families include MachXO, used for secure control functions, along with CrossLink, CrossLinkPlus, ECP, iCE and the Nexus platform. It supports them with IP cores, reference designs, development kits and design software such as Lattice Radiant and Lattice Propel, and it has kept many of its devices on the market for over 20 years. It still sells Video Connectivity ASSPs but is not developing new products in that line, and it earns licensing fees and royalties from its patents, including through two consortia that license HDMI and MHL.

Markets

It sells into three end market groups. In Communications and Computing, its chips act as primary processors or as companion chips in servers, client devices, 5G wireless infrastructure, switches and routers. In Industrial and Automotive, they are used in industrial IoT, machine vision, robotics, factory automation, driver assistance systems and car infotainment. It also serves Consumer markets.

Manufacturing and sales

It operates primarily as a fabless company: it buys its silicon wafers from foundry partners UMC, USJC, Samsung, TSMC and Epson, has them assembled mainly by ASE and Amkor Technology, and has wafer sort testing done mainly by ASE in Taiwan and Malaysia and by KYEC in Taiwan. It sells through independent distributors, which take a substantial portion of its sales, directly, and through independent manufacturers' representatives. Its end customers are mainly original equipment manufacturers.

People

It had 1,174 employees worldwide as of January 3, 2026.
