The ruleShares traded on the last day at least 3 times the average of the 50 days before, and at least one item filed for the company in the 5 trading days to that close: results, an SEC filing, an insider trade (Form 4), a large holder's Schedule 13D or 13G, or a planned sale (Form 144).

Why this listHeavy trading usually comes with news. A study of US stocks found that shares with unusually high volume over a day or a week went on to do better over the following month than shares with unusually low volume (Gervais, Kaniel and Mingelgrin, 2001). This list puts the filed item next to the volume, so you can read what came out the same week. It says nothing about what the price does next.
